Three SUNY Institutions Join MSCHE and NAC on AIHub Pilot for Workforce Programs
Three State University of New York (SUNY) institutions – Columbia-Greene Community College, Corning Community College, and Dutchess Community College – will join the Workforce Trust to use the National Accreditation Commission (NAC) AI-powered Accreditation Information Hub (AIHub) for Workforce Pell programs, creating more opportunities to propel data-driven innovation.
The Workforce Trust is a collaboration of accreditors driving quality assurance for workforce training programs through the innovative, data-rich AIHub. With support from Lumina Foundation, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) will use the AIHub with select institutions to verify Workforce Pell eligibility, validate alignment with employer demand, ensure quality, and coordinate with state agencies to reduce duplicative processes. Mohawk Valley Community College was the first of the Commission’s institutions to pilot the technology.
Heather F. Perfetti, President of the Commission, welcomes the new institutions to the project.
“I am excited to welcome Columbia-Greene Community College, Corning Community College, and Dutchess Community College to this important collaboration,” said Heather. “Together, these institutions are part of a dedicated core interested in leveraging the AIHub as a tool that intersects accreditation, innovation, and workforce-focused education in a way that expands opportunities for learners.”
Our Commission is dedicated to driving innovation and customized service to meet the unique and changing needs of institutions, students, and the communities we serve, as outlined in our Strategic Directions. Our institutions can continue to expect innovative approaches to accreditation within a changing higher education landscape, with the AI Hub being an important model for innovation.
