MSCHE Announces Change with C-RAC

The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) is announcing its withdrawal from the Council of Recognized Accrediting Commissions (C-RAC) as of September 1, 2026. While we continue to partner individually with other accrediting commissions, MSCHE is driving broader partnerships that best support our work in this changing higher education environment. We are proud partners on projects relevant to innovation and accreditation, including with individual members of C-RAC, other institutional and programmatic accreditors, associations and organizations, states and systems, the United States Department of Education (USDE), and within the international environment. We advocate with intention in areas specific to our Commission while also most broadly supporting the higher education community.
