Advocacy Alert: Registration Open for NACIQI July 2026 Meeting

Registration is open for the upcoming United States Department of Education (USDE) National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI) Meeting, July 22-23, 2026. 

The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) encourages institutional members, students, and the public to register to join the meeting. Institutional representatives and other constituents may submit a request by July 15, 2026, to provide oral comments during the meeting. The Federal Register contains materials for the meeting, including the agenda. 

The Committee will review renewals of recognition for the following agencies: 

-Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges
-American Osteopathic Association, Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation
-Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation
-Council on Occupational Education
-Midwifery Education Accreditation Council
-National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences, Inc
-National Nurse Practitioner Residency and Fellowship Training Consortium

The Committee will also review compliance reports for one agency: Kansas State Board of Nursing. 

NACIQI provides recommendations regarding accrediting agencies that monitor the academic quality of postsecondary institutions and educational programs for federal purposes. More information about the recognition process for accrediting agencies for accrediting agencies can be found on USDE’s website. 

USDE recognizes MSCHE to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidacy status) activities for institutions of higher education, including distance education and correspondence education programs offered at those institutions, throughout the United States.
