The Commission Withdraws Five Documents

The Commission has withdrawn five documents as of September 1, 2018:

  • Calculation of Next Accreditation Action: Under the Commission’s recently adopted eight-year accreditation cycle, institutions are now assigned to one of eight cohorts which cannot be changed.
  • Institutional Peer Evaluator from the Commission Accompanying a Specialized Accrediting Agency’s Team: This policy reflected the Commission’s former practice of assigning peer evaluators to serve on teams at the request of specialized accrediting agencies conducting visits to MSCHE accredited institutions. The Commission’s present practice is to provide names of potential peer evaluators to be invited by and serve directly for the specialized agency.
  • Standardized Language for Commission Actions on Accreditation and Examples of Options for Follow-Up: With the adoption of the eight-year accreditation cycle and its component activities including the Annual Institutional Update and Mid-Point Peer Review, this document no longer reflected the Commission’s accreditation activities.
  • Guidelines for Determining Recommendations, Requirements, and Proposed Commission Actions: Decennial Evaluations and Periodic Review Reports: With the adoption of the eight-year accreditation cycle and its component activities including the Annual Institutional Update and Mid-Point Peer Review, this document no longer reflected the Commission’s accreditation activities.
  • Electronic Submission of Materials and Reports: The Commission has implemented a new portal through which institutions and evaluation teams upload documents. This document has been replaced with a training video on uploading documents.
