About the Workshop

In all seven standards, the final criteria focus on demonstrating that we engage in periodic assessment – of everything – even our assessment processes themselves. This workshop will introduce some best practices for weaving periodic assessment into all of the areas that the new standards encompass, and for documenting evidence that demonstrates the strength as well as the impact of your practices. In addition, participants will develop some instruments and timelines for Standard V in particular: assessing your assessment processes.

Learning Outcomes:

•Identify systematic, meaningful, and useful types of evidence for all seven standards

•Describe the differences between demonstrating strength and impact of practices

•Evaluate the merit of direct and indirect evidence for each standard

•Develop sample instruments for any standards where the institution needs them

•Create a timeline for systematizing an institutional approach to Standard V
