On November 16, 2017, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education acknowledged receipt of the teach-out plan and signed teach-out agreements submitted by Technical Career Institutes, Inc. because the institution closed while on show cause status without prior approval. The purpose of the teach-out plan is to assist students who are near completion of a credential finalize and complete academic requirements. To assist with the implementation of the teach-out plan, Technical Career Institutes, Inc. entered into teach-out agreements with (1) Plaza College, Forest Hills, NY; (2) Long Island Business Institute, New York, NY; (3) Monroe College, Bronx, NY; (4) Mildred Elley, New York, NY; (5) New York Automotive and Diesel Institute (NYADI), Queens, NY; (6) ASA College, Brooklyn, NY; (7) The College of Westchester, White Plains, NY; and (8) Metropolitan College of New York, New York, NY. Students may obtain records dated 2008 and later at the Metropolitan College of New York, New York, NY. Despite repeated requests, the Commission is unable to confirm the location of student records dated prior to 2008. As of September 1, 2017, Technical Career Institutes, Inc. is no longer accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, (267-284-5042) www.msche.org.
