  • October 29, 2020
    To delay the On-Site Evaluation visit scheduled for Spring 2021 due to extraordinary circumstances related to coronavirus (COVID-19) interruptions and to continue accreditation. To note the institution remains accredited during a delay granted by the Commission. The Evaluation visit will be scheduled in accordance with Commission policy and procedures.

    To acknowledge receipt of documentation of approval from Puerto Rico Board of Postsecondary Institutions.
  • September 3, 2019
    To acknowledge receipt of the substantive change request. To include the relocation of the 56 Calle Jose De Diego, Mayaguez, PR 00680 additional location to Mayaguez University Center, Carr PR #64, Km 6.6, Esquina Calle 3, Urb. Industrial Algarrobos, Mayaguez, PR 00680 within the institution’s scope of accreditation. To direct a substantive change site visit as soon as practicable but no later than six months after the commencement of instruction at the additional location. To require written evidence of approvals from all necessary licensing, regulatory, or other legal entities as necessary, Puerto Rico Board of Postsecondary Institutions. To require immediate notification when instruction commences and of the date that instruction at the former additional location ceases. To note the Commission may rescind this action if the visit does not occur or instruction does not commence within one calendar year from the date of this action. The next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2020-2021.

    To acknowledge receipt of the substantive change request. To include the decrease in the number of credit hours required for successful completion of the Doctor in Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology program within the institution’s scope of accreditation. To note that the Commission may rescind this action if the requested substantive change is not implemented within one calendar year from the date of this action. The next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2020-2021.

    To acknowledge receipt of the supplemental information report. To note that a follow-up visit will not be conducted. The next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2020-2021.

    To accept the supplemental information report. To request a supplemental information report, due August 1, 2018, regarding the status of the institution. A small team visit may follow submission of the report. To note that the institution has been granted a one-year delay in its self-study evaluation visit and the self-study visit is now scheduled for 2020-2021. To remind the institution that upon the reaffirmation of accreditation, the institution will return to its regular 8-year accreditation cycle with an evaluation visit in 2027-2028.

    To accept the Periodic Review Report, to reaffirm accreditation and to commend the institution for the quality of the Periodic Review Report process. To request a monitoring report, due September 1, 2016, documenting (1) steps taken to assure continuity and stability of the governing body and the institution’s administration (Standards 4 and 5); (2) further development and implementation of a financial plan that supports the institution’s mission, goals, and long-term sustainability through the appropriate and efficient utilization of institutional resources (Standard 3); (3) utilization of assessment results to improve resource allocation (Standard 7); and (4) further implementation of a documented, organized, and sustained assessment process to evaluate and improve student learning with evidence that students are achieving key institutional and program learning outcomes (Standard 14). The next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2019-2020.

To include the additional location at 56 Calle José De Diego, Mayagüez, Puerto Rico 00680, provisionally within the scope of the institution’s accreditation pending a site visit within six months of the commencement of operations. The Commission requires written notification within thirty days of the commencement of operations at the additional location. In the event that operations at the additional location do not commence within one calendar year from the approval of this action, approval will lapse. To remind the institution of the request that the Periodic Review Report, due June 1, 2015, address steps taken and success achieved in revising manuals, policies, and procedures to achieve the appropriate level of uniformity across the institution's two campuses and further steps taken and success achieved in clarifying and ensuring the respective roles, responsibilities, and authority of the Board of Trustees and the President with respect to oversight and management of the institution (Standards 4 and 5).
