  • June 25, 2020
    To note the substantive change site visit occurred on February 25, 2020 to the additional location at Ichabod Crane Senior High School, 2910 Route 9, Valatie, NY 12184 and the information provided in the substantive change request was verified. The next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2022-2023.
  • April 16, 2020
    To acknowledge receipt of formal written notice from the institution in response to the Commission’s request of March 9, 2020. To temporarily waive Substantive Change Policy and Procedures and allow the use of distance education to accommodate students impacted by coronavirus (COVID-19) interruptions, in accordance with United States Department of Education (USDE) guidelines published March 5, 2020. Continued use of distance education beyond the limitations of USDE guidelines will require substantive change approval in accordance with Substantive Change Policy and Procedures. This flexibility is not available for clock-hour courses that lead to licensure if the licensing body will not accept distance learning courses or hours or give credit for them toward the number of hours a student must complete. The next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2022-2023.

  • March 7, 2013
    To accept the monitoring report and to note the visit by the Commission's representatives. To remove the warning and to reaffirm accreditation because the institution is now in compliance with Standard 7 (Institutional Assessment). To request a monitoring report due by September 1, 2014, documenting evidence (1) of the further development and implementation by all non-academic units of assessment processes that use substantive and direct measures to evaluate and improve outcomes that are clearly related to unit as well as institutional mission and goals, (2) that assessment results are shared and discussed with all appropriate constituents and are used in institutional planning and renewal, and (3) of institutional efforts to determine that assessment processes are of sufficient simplicity, practicality, detail and ownership to be sustainable (Standard 7). A visit may follow submission of the monitoring report. The Periodic Review Report is now due June 1, 2018.

    To accept the monitoring report and to note the visit by the Commission's representatives. To note that the institution is now in compliance with Standard 2 (Planning, Resource Allocation and Institutional Renewal), and Standard 14 (Assessment of Student Learning). To continue to warn the institution that its accreditation may be in jeopardy because of insufficient evidence that it is in compliance with Standard 7 (Institutional Assessment). To note that the institution remains accredited while on warning. To request a monitoring report, due December 1, 2012, documenting that the institution has achieved and can sustain compliance with Standard 7 (Institutional Assessment). To request that the monitoring report include, but not be limited to, evidence of the development and implementation of a comprehensive, organized and sustained process for (1) the assessment of institutional effectiveness, in relation to the goals of the institution's new strategic plan, with evidence that assessment information is used in budgeting, planning and the allocation of resources (Standard 7). In addition, to request that the monitoring report also provide evidence of (2) the implementation of a new institutional strategic plan that links long-range planning to decision-making, budgeting and resource allocation processes (Standard 2) and (3) the further development and implementation of an organized and sustained process for the assessment of student learning outcomes (Standard 14). A small team visit will follow submission of the monitoring report. The due date for the next Periodic Review Report will be established when accreditation is reaffirmed.

    To note the recent communication with the Commission’s representative and to remind the institution that it has been warned that its accreditation may be in jeopardy because of a lack of evidence that the institution is currently in compliance with Standards 2 (Planning, Resource Allocation, and Institutional Renewal), 7 (Institutional Assessment), and 14 (Assessment of Student Learning). To note that the institution remains accredited while on warning. To further remind the institution of the monitoring report, due March 1, 2012, documenting evidence that the institution has achieved and can sustain ongoing compliance with Standards 2, 7 & 14. The monitoring report should include, but not be limited to, documentation of (1) the development and implementation of a comprehensive institutional strategic plan that links long-range planning to decision-making, budgeting and resource allocation processes (Standard 2); (2) the development and implementation of a comprehensive, organized and sustained process for the assessment of institutional effectiveness, with evidence that assessment information is used in budgeting, planning and allocating resources (Standard 7); (3) the development and implementation of an organized and sustained assessment process to evaluate and implement student learning (Standard 14); and (4) the development and implementation of a clear and accessible transfer credit policy (Standard 8). A small team visit will follow submission of the monitoring report. The due date of the Periodic Review Report will be established when accreditation is reaffirmed.

To further note that the Periodic Review Report submission date will be established when accreditation is reaffirmed.
