    To acknowledge receipt of the supplemental information report. The next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2026-2027.
  • March 14, 2019
    To note the visit by the Commission’s representatives. To reaffirm accreditation. The next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2026-2027.
  • November 15, 2018
    To acknowledge receipt of the supplemental information report. To request a supplemental information report, due September 1, 2019, providing the status of any investigation(s) conducted by the institution or by state, federal, or other government agencies, related to the action of September 11, 2018.  To note that copies of the report(s) that follow from any of these investigations must be submitted to the Commission within 10 calendar days of their completion.  To acknowledge receipt of the self-study report. To note that the evaluation visit has occurred and will be acted upon at the March, 2019 Commission meeting.
  • September 11, 2018
    Staff acted on behalf of the Commission to request a supplemental information report, due October 10, 2018, addressing recent developments at the institution which may have implications for current and future compliance with Standard II: Ethics and Integrity, Standard VII: Governance, Leadership, and Requirements of Affiliation 5 and 6.

    To accept the supplemental information report. To remind the institution of its obligation to inform the Commission about any and all significant developments related to any investigation(s) into the matter of administrative compensation conducted by the U.S. Attorney's Office, the FBI, the SUNY Administration or any other agency. Copies of the report(s) that follow from any of these investigations must be submitted to the Commission within 10 business days of their completion. The Periodic Review Report, due June 1, 2014 has been received, and the Commission will act on it in November, 2014.

    To request a supplemental information report, due March 7, 2014, addressing: (1) the university’s compliance with all applicable government policies, regulations and requirements (Requirement of Affiliation # 5); (2) policies and procedures that ensure sound ethical practices including the avoidance of conflict of interest or the appearance of such conflict in all its activities and among all its constituents (Standard 6); and (3) periodic assessment of the integrity evidenced in institutional policies, processes, practices, and the manner in which these are implemented (Standard 6). To further request that the institution inform the Commission about any and all significant developments related to any investigation(s) into the matter of administrative compensation conducted by the U.S. Attorney's Office, the FBI, the SUNY Administration or any other agency.     To accept the Commission-requested information report, and to remind the institution that the Commission must continue to be informed of any further developments related to its LCME accreditation. The Periodic Review report is due June 1, 2014.

Information about the Middle States Commission on Higher Education

The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) is one of seven institutional accrediting organizations in the United States and is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). MSCHE accreditation applies to an institution as a whole rather than the specific programs within an institution. MSCHE does not approve or accredit individual programs. The MSCHE accreditation review cycle is continuous and accreditation does not expire. Each institution is reevaluated and monitored on a regular and consistent basis in accordance with the institution’s assigned accreditation review cycle and Commission policy and procedures. An institution maintains its accreditation unless it is voluntarily surrendered or withdrawn by the Commission for cause, after the institution has been afforded due process. The institution’s current accreditation phase and accreditation status are displayed on the institution’s listing in the Institution Directory and in the Statement of Accreditation Status (SAS).
