To accept the progress report. To note the institution's decision to suspend operations as of June 30, 2014. To approve the teach-out plan and agreements with SUNY Empire State College, The Pennsylvania State University, Thomas Edison State College, and Rowan University for certain students to complete their degree requirements and receive a degree from the National Labor College within 18 months of the suspension of operations. To remind the institution that the Commission will grant a continuation of accreditation during the 18-month period only for the purposes of awarding those degrees. Accreditation will cease on December 31, 2015. Student records are available through June 30, 2014 from NLC, 815 16th Street, NW, Washington DC 20006. After July 1, 2014, student records will be held by the Maryland Higher Education Commission, 6 North Liberty Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. - March 26, 2014

To further note that the institution is making arrangements for certain students to complete their degree requirements and receive a degree from the National Labor College within 18 months of the suspension of operations. To further note that the Commission will grant a continuation of accreditation during the 18-month period only for the purposes of awarding those degrees. To approve the teach-out plan and to request a progress report by May 1, 2014 on the implementation of plans for orderly closure, including the teach-out plan and disposition of student records. To acknowledge receipt of the substantive change request and to include the Associate of Arts in Labor Studies within the scope of the institution's accreditation. To further include the additional location at 815 16th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20006 provisionally within the scope of the institution's accreditation pending a site visit within six months of commencing operations. The Commission requires written notification within thirty days of the commencement of operations at the additional location. In the event that operations at the additional location do not commence within one calendar year from the approval of this action, approval will lapse. To accept the monitoring report and to note the visit by the Commission's representatives. To remove the warning and to reaffirm accreditation. To acknowledge receipt of the substantive change request and to include the following within the scope of the institution's accreditation: (1) the expansion of mission; (2) the contractual agreement with The Princeton Review; and (3) the BA in Business Administration, the BA in Emergency Readiness and Response Management, and the BA in Construction Management, effective upon receipt of documentation of State recognition of the programs. To request a monitoring report, due November 1, 2011, documenting (1) steps taken to further improve the institution's short- and long-term financial viability and the institution's sustainability, including audited financial statements and management letters for FY 2011 for the College and for the AFL-CIO (Standard 3); (2) steps taken to use assessment results to improve planning and resource allocation (Standard 7); and (3) the continuing oversight of and responsibility for the contractual arrangement by the institution (Standard 13). A small team visit may follow submission of the monitoring report. To remind the institution that its accreditation does not extend to its partners in the contractual agreement and that the institution must notify the Commission of any modifications in its contractual agreement. The Commission reserves the right to rescind approval if the implementation deviates materially from the plans described in the substantive change request. To further remind the institution to seek Commission approval through the substantive change process for the establishment of a new program that is not a logical extension of programs currently offered. The Periodic Review Report is due June 1, 2016.
