    To acknowledge receipt of the substantive change request. To include the prison education program (PEP) at the Maryland Correctional Training Center, 8800 Roxbury Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21746 within the institution's scope of accreditation. To note the Commission has evaluated and approved the following PEP educational program to be offered at the location: Baccalaureate in Interdisciplinary Studies - Prison Education Program. To note that written evidence of approvals has been provided from Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC), and Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS.) To require immediate notification of the date that instruction commenced by emailing [email protected]. To require the institution to submit a supplemental information report, due February 1, 2028, providing (1) an update on the implementation of the prison education program (PEP); (2) submission of the best interest determination required by federal regulation, including the methodology used by the oversight entity; and (3) the data indicators used in the best interest determination (Standard II and Standard VI). To direct a substantive change site visit as soon as practicable but no later than six months after the date that instruction commences at the location. To note that the Commission may rescind this action if instruction does not commence within one calendar year from the date of this action.

    To acknowledge receipt of the supplemental information report requested by the Commission action of January 18, 2024. To request a supplemental information report, due February 10, 2025, providing further evidence of (1) student learning experiences that are designed, delivered, and assessed by faculty (full-time or part-time) and/or other appropriate professionals (Standard III); (2) sufficient learning experiences and resources to support both the institution's programs of study and the academic progress of all student populations (Standard III); (3) clearly stated, ethical policies, practices, and processes to recruit, admit, retain, and facilitate the success of students whose interests, abilities, experiences and goals provide a reasonable expectation for success and are compatible with institutional mission (Standard IV); and (4) organized and systematic assessments, conducted by faculty and/or appropriate professionals, evaluating the extent of student achievement of institutional and degree/program goals (Standard V) (Fourteenth Edition and Evidence Expectations by Standard Guidelines).     To acknowledge receipt of the self-study report. To note that the institution hosted a virtual site visit in lieu of an on-site visit in accordance with the United States Department of Education (USDE) guidelines published March 17, 2020. To reaffirm accreditation. To request that, beginning in 2022 and in conjunction with each Annual Institutional Update prior to the Mid-Point Peer Review in 2025, the institution provide further evidence of (1) the development and implementation of organized and systematic assessments that evaluate the extent of student achievement (Standard V); (2) clearly defined decision-making processes, with clear assignment of responsibility and accountability (Standard VI); and (3) enrollment management planning linked to budget development (Standard VI). To note that a verification visit is required by USDE guidelines and will be conducted within a reasonable period of time following the virtual site visit. The next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2028-2029.
