Writing the Self-Study Report

This webinar on the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) self-study process is intended for those institutions in the middle stages of self-study. Institutional self-study leaders will join Commission staff in providing guidance and discussing helpful approaches to compiling work group reports into an effective Self-Study Report suggested activities that promote meaningful review of the Self-Study Report by the campus constituencies, and effective ways to connect the Self-Study Report narrative to the Evidence Inventory.

Audience:  This training will be most helpful for representatives from institutions who will have a Self-Study Evaluation Visit in fall 2023 or spring 2024. 

Learning Outcomes 

• Identify effective strategies for converting multiple group reports into a cohesive Self-Study Report. 
• Review options for organizing the Self-Study Report according to the institution’s approach to self-study. 
• Identify MSCHE expectations for inclusion of evidence to support the narrative to demonstrate compliance. 
• Develop a cohesive plan for involving the campus constituencies in the development and review of the Self-Study Report.
