Writing the Self-Study Report and Preparing for the Evaluation Visit

This webinar on the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) self-study process is intended for those institutions in the later stages of self-study. Institutional self-study leaders will join Commission staff in providing guidance and discussing topics such as: helpful approaches to compiling work group reports into an effective Self-Study Report, suggested activities that promote meaningful review of the Self-Study Report by the campus community, how to prepare the campus to ensure that the visit is an productive part of the evaluation process and a positive experience for all involved, and how to develop an effective Self-Study Evaluation Team Visit schedule. Additionally, we will discuss what happens after the team leaves and effective ways to approach the Institutional Response.
Audience: Audience: This training will be most helpful for representatives from institutions who will have a Self-Study Evaluation Visit in 2023.
- Identify effective strategies for converting multiple group reports into a cohesive Self-Study Report.
- Identify keys to success in planning and managing an effective campus visit by the evaluation team.
- Understand the expectations for responding to the final Team Report in writing through the Institutional Response and the importance of the Institutional Response in the multi-level accreditation decision-making process.
- Identify strategies for successfully uploading documentation before and after the visit.
