As higher education continues to increase its focus on student achievement metrics, institutions are developing new and innovative practices to assist their diverse student body with achieving their goals. Moving the dial on student success is not only a source of pride for institutions; it also aids in demonstrating to the public the value of a higher education credential. Howard Community College, Passaic County Community College, and Union College (NJ) will share how their institutions have used innovative institutional strategies focused on student success to improve student achievement outcomes, such as retention rates, time-to-degree, transfer rates, and graduation rates.
– Howard Community College has been recognized for their work including as a recipient of the Baldridge Award in 2019 for their commitment to continuous quality improvement.
– Union College of Union County NJ has been recognized by the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence for its achievement in improving equitable outcomes for their students.
– Passaic County Community College is designated as a Minority Serving Institution (MSI) and continues to provide effective student success and accessibility.
