Call for Commissioner Nominations
Deadline for Nominations: February 16, 2024
The Committee on Membership of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) calls for nominations for Commissioner vacancies for the term January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2029. While the Commission accepts nominations at all times throughout the year, this is a final call for self-nominations or the nominations of others between February 1 and February 16, 2024, for the term referenced above and for the specific needs of the Commission at this time.
Call to Fill Specific Vacancies
Nominees are sought to fill the role of administrative and/or academic representative as defined within the Commission’s Bylaws as follows:
“Academic representative” of the Commission is an individual who is currently or recently engaged in a significant manner in postsecondary teaching and/or research, or other appropriate professionals with sufficient responsibility to the institution to assure the continuity and coherence of the institution’s educational programs.
“Administrative representative” of the Commission is an individual who is currently or recently directly engaged in a significant manner in postsecondary program or institutional administration.
Individuals shall be considered for nomination consistent with the Commission’s commitment for its governing body to be representative of the diversity of size, ownership, and academic nature of the institutional members and to reflect broad geographical and demographic representation by the Commissioners.
Nomination Process
To submit a nomination, please complete the nomination form by February 16, 2024, 4:30 p.m. ET. In an effort to reach as broad a constituency as possible, MSCHE requests that you share this information with individuals who might have an interest in the work of the Commission and accreditation.
All nominations can be submitted by visiting the MSCHE Call for Commissioner page and completing the form at the bottom of the page. The Commission will only consider nominations where all the requested information has been provided, which includes a copy of the nominee’s resume or CV. If you have submitted a nomination since January 2023, the Commission already has your materials and an additional nomination does not need to be submitted.
