Judith Sciple Joins MSCHE as Vice President for Institutional Field Relations

Judith ScipleDr. Judith Sciple joined the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) as Vice President for Institutional Field Relations in August 2023. In this role, she serves as a liaison to member institutions, providing advice to institutions and assisting them with accreditation activities. Judi supports Commission representatives engaged in the work of accreditation through the Commission’s multi-level decision-making process.

“I am excited to welcome Judi who brings diverse experiences from an impressive career across a number of roles as well as accreditation experience with institutions and with the Commission,” said Lead Vice President for Institutional Field Relations Dr. Melissa Hardin. “Judi’s career includes working within a complex statewide system where service to local communities is critical, and this will translate into tremendous insights that best support the work of our institutions.”

In addition, Dr. Idna Corbett, Senior Vice President for Accreditation Relations and Services stated, “Judi’s experiences will make her an outstanding member of the Commission, with significant contributions to the Accreditation Relations and Services Unit that will be impactful.”

Prior to joining the Commission, Judi served at Delaware Technical Community College for 31 years, most recently as Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness and Development, where she provided college-wide leadership in the areas of accreditation, strategic planning, assessment, development, grants management, and alumni relations. Throughout her tenure, she also held leadership positions in college relations, marketing, and public relations and chaired numerous collegewide committees to enhance operations, streamline processes, and engage constituents. Judi was an active member of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) for more than 20 years, where she served as a board member from 2004-2012 and held the position of president. She recently served as a member of the United Way of Delaware Board of Directors and the Delaware Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE) Research Advisory Committee.

Judi earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership Administration and Policy and M.P.A. in Human Resources from the University of Delaware. She also holds a B.S. in Business Management from Wesley College (DE).
