Substantive Revision to Policy and Procedures Regarding MPPR and AIU

The Commission made substantive revisions to the Accreditation Review Cycle and Monitoring Policy and Procedures, effective July 1, 2023. The purpose of this policy is to establish the timeline and components of the Commission’s accreditation review cycle. In September 2022, the Commission voted to endorse the removal of the Mid-Point Peer Review (MPPR) from the accreditation review cycle, which then went out for public comment March 21 – April 7, 2023. The Policy Unit has revised the Accreditation Review Cycle and Monitoring Policy and Procedures to reflect the removal of the MPPR as part of the accreditation cycle. In addition, the Commission will request supplemental information reports (SIRs) when data reported in the AIU indicates moderate or serious concerns. The Commission will post AIU Indicators and Metrics on the website.

The revised policy and new procedures will be effective July 1, 2023. The policy documents are available on the Browse Policies and Procedures page and can be found using the search filter.
