MSCHE Announces Election of New Commissioners, Reelection of Executive Committee Members and Corporate Officers, and Committee Leadership

The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) appointed a new Commissioner to fill an unexpired term, elected one Commissioner to a first full term following the completion of an appointed term, reelected the Commission’s Executive Committee members and corporate officers, and announced its committee leadership. Commissioner Appointed

Dr. Heather Kelly was appointed by the Commission’s Executive Committee and joins the Commission from November 16, 2022 to December 31, 2025, to fill the unexpired term of an open position due to a resignation. Dr. Kelly serves as Director of the Office of Institutional Research and the Accreditation Liaison Officer at the University of Delaware, and she has experience as a peer evaluator through self-study evaluation as well a reviewer of Periodic Review Reports.

Commissioner Elected to First Full Term

Ms. Vuyokazi Funeka Memani-Sedile has been elected to a first term from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2028, following the completion of an appointed term. Ms. Memani-Sedile, one of the Commission’s public representatives, joined the Commission in May 2021 through an appointment by the Executive Committee to fill the unexpired term of an open position. She has served on the Committee on Evaluation Reports since her appointment.
