MSCHE President Dr. Heather F. Perfetti to Speak at ACCT Leadership Congress

On October 26-29, 2022, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) President Dr. Heather F. Perfetti will speak at the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Leadership Congress as part of the keynote accreditation panel. The gathering of over 1,500 trustees and presidents of community colleges is themed Community Colleges: Improving the Lives of Entire Families.

Dr. Perfetti will speak to the role of board members in the accreditation process and critical issues related to accreditation. According to Dr. Perfetti, “board members play an important role in the accreditation process and are expected to be engaged in the accreditation activities of the institution.”

Dr. Perfetti will be joined on the panel by Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Board of Trustees Chair Dr. Jo Alice Blondin, Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) Commissioner Dr. Daisy Gonzales, New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) President Dr. Lawrence Schall, Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) President Dr. Sonny Ramaswamy, and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) President Dr. Belle Wheelan. Jackson College President Dr. Daniel Phelan will moderate the discussion.
