On October 26-29, 2022, President Dr. Heather Perfetti will speak at the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Leadership Congress as part of the keynote accreditation panel. The gathering of over 1,500 trustees and presidents of community colleges is themed “Community Colleges: Improving the Lives of Entire Families.” The ACCT Leadership Congress is the largest professional development opportunity for community college trustees, presidents, and other thought and policy leaders to share experiences and expertise, network with people from around the country and beyond, and expand knowledge of the community college sector.
On July 16-19, 2022, Vice President for Institutional Field Relations Dr. Robert Bonfiglio, Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer Ms. Kathie Jeffries, and President Dr. Heather Perfetti will represent MSCHE at the upcoming National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) 2022 Annual Meeting. The NACUBO Annual Meeting addresses trends in campus finance and administration.
On July 11-15, 2022, Vice President for Institutional Field Relations Dr. Terence Peavy attended the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) 2022 Virtual Conference. The NASFAA Conference is the premier event serving the student financial aid community.
On July 7, 2022, Vice President for Institutional Field Relations Dr. Kushnood Haq presented during the INQAAHE webinar “Cross-Border Education: Quality Assurance and Recognition Practices, Challenges and Opportunities” with Dr. Khairul Mohamed Sahari, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), Dr. Nitesh Sughnani, Director of University Quality Assurance at the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) of Dubai, and Dr. Abi Coveney, Senior Risk Manager/TNE lead at the Office for Students in England. Dr. Fabrizio Trifiro, Head of Quality Benchmark Services at Ecctis Limited will chair the webinar. This third webinar in the INQAAHE Talks series focused on cross-border education, also referred to as transnational education (TNE).
On June 15, 2022, Senior Vice President for Legal Affairs and General Counsel Dr. Tracey Schneider, Vice President for Policy and Regulatory Affairs Dr. Amy Moseder, Assistant Director for Institutional Support Services Ms. Diana Bonner, and Interim Senior Director for Accreditation Services Ms. Carmella Smith represented MSCHE at the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) 2022 Summer Roundtable. The event included three webinars: “Innovation in Higher Education”; “Ameliorating Vulnerabilities to Accreditation”; and an introduction to the ‘NEW’ CHEA Arbitration Process.
On June 12-15, 2022, Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer Ms. Kathie Jeffries attended the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) 2022 Conference. The SHRM Annual Conference & Expo is the largest gathering of HR professionals.
On June 7-9, 2022, Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff Dr. Stephen Pugliese represented MSCHE at the Association for the Assessment of Learning in Higher Education (AALHE) Annual Conference Communities of Assessment: Reengaging and Learning Together in Providence, RI. He served as a member of a panel conversation with accreditors, which is the sixth time we have been included in their annual event. An additional session on the benefits and expectations of becoming an accreditation peer evaluator was offered this year.
On June 6-9, 2022, Associate Policy Analyst and Records Officer Ms. Bridgette Boody represented MSCHE at the Association for Institutional Research (AIR) Annual Conference in Phoenix, AZ. The AIR Annual Conference gathered higher education professionals working in institutional research, assessment, planning, and related postsecondary education fields.
On May 11-12, 2022, Senior Director for Technology Services Mr. Christian Slater and Senior Systems Administrator Mr. Tze Joe participated in the EDUCAUSE Cybersecurity and Privacy Professionals Virtual Conference. The event gave participants a chance to network and discuss information security and privacy trends and current issues with peers and solution providers.
On April 30-May 2, Senior Vice President for Accreditation Relations Dr. Ellie Fogarty represented MSCHE at the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) Annual Conference: Community Colleges Take Center Stage in New York City.
