Dr. Melissa Hardin and Dr. Terence Peavy Join MSCHE as VPs
Dr. Melissa Hardin and Dr. Terence Peavy joined the Middle States Commission on Higher Education as Vice Presidents for Institutional Field Relations on July 1, 2021. In this role, they serve as a liaisons to member institutions, providing training to institutions and volunteers, and supporting the accreditation decision-making work of the Commission.
Dr. Hardin comes to MSCHE from CAPA The Global Education Network where she oversaw all aspects of CAPA’s academic affairs, working closely with its faculty and institution partners to manage and further develop the quality of CAPA’s academic offerings. Dr. Hardin has more than two decades of experience as an international education professional. Dr. Hardin holds B.A. in Spanish from University of Missouri-Columbia (MO), an M.A. in Spanish from Middlebury College (VT), and a Ph.D. in Spanish Languages and Literature from Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Peavy comes to the Commission from the State University of New York’s (SUNY) Fashion Institute of Technology where he served as Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management. In this role, he managed undergraduate admissions, financial aid, registrar, international student services, educational opportunity programs, and the campus card office. He has over 28 years of higher education experience and has held executive leadership roles in enrollment management at a number of MSCHE institutions. Dr. Peavy obtained his B.A. from York College of Pennsylvania in Speech Communications and his M.Ed. in Educational Supervision and Leadership from Fordham University. He later earned his Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership Studies from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
