Offices to Close for Juneteenth
The Middle States Commission on Higher Education will be closing at noon on Friday, June 18, 2021, in observance of Juneteenth.
This year, MSCHE added Juneteenth, a day commemorating the freeing of enslaved African Americans in the United States, as a staff holiday to recognize this important moment in our nation’s history. The celebration of Juneteenth is a component of the Commission’s overall strategic initiative on advocacy, and a commitment to promoting mutual respect, fair and equitable treatment, and support for one another. It is important to acknowledge that the struggle for racial justice and equality continues to this day.
