New Communication, Public Disclosures Policies and Procedures Approved

The Communication in the Accreditation Process Policy and Procedures and Public Disclosures Policy and Procedure were approved through ballot by member institutions on August 5, 2019. The revisions to these two policies and procedures will become effective September 1, 2019. The documents can currently be found in the Policies Under Review section until they become effective, at which point they will be located in the Browse Policies and Procedures.

Communication in the Accreditation Policy and Procedures:

The Communication in the Accreditation Policy and Procedures was approved with 225 votes, 0 rejections, and 2 abstentions. The substantive revision of this policy emphasizes the Commission’s commitment to enhance communication with its constituencies and promote transparency.

Public Disclosures Policy and Procedures:

The Public Disclosures Policy and Procedures was approved with 199 approvals, 2 rejections, and 4 abstentions. The substantive revision of this policy clarifies the Commission’s requirements for information provided to the public. As part of the revision, the title of the policy changed from Published Information to Public Disclosures Policy.
