About the Workshop

This one-day program is for those familiar with assessment who want to learn how to guide others in developing plans and tools for assessing student learning.

Topics include:
• Characteristics of good facilitation
• Strategies for organizing assessment workshop activities for faculty
• Examples of workshop techniques
• Strategies for evaluating your institution’s assessment needs

The program will include presentations, interspersed with discussions and brief group and individual exercises that will give participants the opportunity to engage in and practice applying key facilitation concepts. This workshop is ideal for assessment directors and assessment committee members; institutional research directors; faculty developers; and academic affairs and student affairs administrators.

Registration

The registration fee includes workshop materials, a continental breakfast, refreshment breaks, and lunch. Institutions may send more than one person to this workshop.

Regular Registration
(Received August 21 - September 3, 2012):       $355 per person

Cancellations: To qualify for a refund, registrations must be canceled by August 20, 2012. A cancellation fee of $75 will be assessed, regardless of the reason for cancellation. Cancellations received after this date will not receive a refund. Contact MSCHE at (267) 284-5000.
